- What is Black Cake
Black cake aka Jamaican Plum Pudding or Jamaican Rum Cake is a traditional favorite that is mostly eaten at weddings or other special occasions, or during the Christmas holiday season. It is a very rich cake that includes fruits typically soaked for long periods in Jamaican Rum or Wine. Hence the name Rum cake. It is NOT an alcoholic beverage, nor is it a source of getting drunk.
